  • Dali’s sofa: Known as the Mae West Lips sofa, this seat is a surrealist sculpture made by Salvador Dali. It is inspired by the lips of the actress Mae West, and was made of wood and satin. Dali was fascinated with the actress. There were only five of them made. Four of them are in private ownership now, with the fifth one on display in Brighton, England.
  • Central Perk sofa: If there was a show that defined ‘90s America, it was Friends. The sofa in Central Perk wasn’t a great piece of furniture. It had a clumsy shape, was orange in colour, and was more homely than elegant. However, it was as much a character on the show as Ross, Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, and Chandler were. You can find this sofa at the Warner Brothers studio in Los Angeles.
  • The Simpsons sofa: If we’re talking about pop culture TV shows, we cannot forget the Simpsons. It is the longest-running sitcom on American television.
